These groups offers a natural progression from Mini Musicians, and provides opportunities for children to take their skills further. Learn to read music, play the recorder and tuned percussion, as well as lots of rhythm             games and fun songs. There will be more emphasis on learning instruments and formal notation.

In these groups children learn more about all the elements that go together to make music: pitch; pulse; rhythm; timbre; dynamics; phrasing and structure. They also improve their listening skills, memory and co-ordination.

While being valuble in their own right, these groups also provides an ideal grounding for playing a musical instrument, giving children opportunities to develop their all-round musicality. This will ensure that when they start to play an instrument they are building on firm musical foundations.
